About the Project
ISC Constructors was selected to partner with ControlWorx/John H. Carter, an Emerson Impact partner, in the restoration of NextEra’s Plant Crist in Pensacola, Florida, following the damages inflicted by Hurricane Sally. Positioned around Escambia Bay and three rivers that feed into the Gulf of Mexico, Plant Crist sustained unprecedented damage during this historic Category 2 storm. ISC restored the electrical and instrumentation to the facility’s three main units bringing the plant back online within a few months.
ISC’s skilled technicians and engineers mobilized from across the South to expedite assessments, complete on-site field design and develop critical deliverable updates. The ISC team overcame several unique challenges, including instituting COVID-19 precautions while managing a time-sensitive schedule and complex work conditions. Ultimately, ISC was able to work with the project team to successfully complete this project at a high standard of quality, on time, within budget and with zero safety incidents or COVID-19 infections.
